Single Player Level in Unreal 3

I was assigned to create a single player style level in Unreal3 for my advanced games engines and physics module.

It had to include 2 distinct paths to complete the level as well as 2 skeletal animations, cinematic style matinée, advanced Kismet and some custom content.

I created a large map which supposed to be a coastal bay situated in a hot climate.  The story being that you where sent with other companions to attack the enemy base, but before  you landed on the beach you where blown out the water by the enemy who spotted you.  You come to on the beach where the level begins.

The player has a choice between deactivating the air brakes on the 3 wind turbines that power the starter motor to the lift and shooting a switch to gain entry to the long way round the level with more (difficult) combat.

The level ends with you getting to the gate of the enemy base where the transition to the next level would begin.

First year Half Life 2 level

For my semester 1 assignment in 2008 for my games engines and physics module I created bridge street in hammer as a single player level. 

The idea of the level is that the United Kingdom has suffered a huge infection of some sort and people are holed up all round the country trying to survive.   The map is set mainly in a post war bridge street in Stafford.  The area has been devastated by combine assaults, a few survivors left behind by the evacuation are attempting to hold what is left of Stafford from the infected zombies brought about by the combine’s lethal bio warfare.  Various combine machinery has been captured and changed to work against the combine.  The character you play as is the leader of the organisation that is trying to survive in the ruins.  The character has returned to the settlement, after a routine search for survivors. Subsequent to spotting combine forces nearing the area you have returned to defend the town.





First Year 3D animation

For my 3d animation assignment in my first year of university I created a space scene in 3D Studio Max, not having great experience or any background in animating in 3D Studio Max, this video is not amazing.  This is mainly because I was still getting to grips with Max.
