I was assigned to create a single player style level in Unreal3 for my advanced games engines and physics module.
It had to include 2 distinct paths to complete the level as well as 2 skeletal animations, cinematic style matinée, advanced Kismet and some custom content.
I created a large map which supposed to be a coastal bay situated in a hot climate. The story being that you where sent with other companions to attack the enemy base, but before you landed on the beach you where blown out the water by the enemy who spotted you. You come to on the beach where the level begins.
The player has a choice between deactivating the air brakes on the 3 wind turbines that power the starter motor to the lift and shooting a switch to gain entry to the long way round the level with more (difficult) combat.
The level ends with you getting to the gate of the enemy base where the transition to the next level would begin.
